Dear Rex,

I remember the reason why we suggested to have a party or tshirt to
speakers is to give them good memories / souvenir instead of giving them
cash. 

Due to the overbooked issue in last minute, we are applying to the GNOME
Foundation to donate some money for tshirts and maybe others. We are
still waiting for your side comment's on Brian's email, as it takes time
for the whole process to get fund, while the event is in 1 month, please
focus on giving us the reply so we can proceed. Hence, any increase of
budget is not recommended at the moment. As Brian mentioned earlier, if
the organizer trying to cut cost, more chance to get (more) fund. We are
looking for ways to cut budget, not to increase :)

Besides, from Facebook, I found this comment from your wall, hope you
keep personal comment to yourself but not to public as it may bring
negative image to the joint-event and partner...

Rex Tsai 有種跟吃米不知米價得人合作的感覺。大家都知道送 t-shirt 要錢，辦
party 要錢，找志工要補貼旅費，開會要飯錢吧 ?!

Translation: I feel like cooperating with someone who doesn't know the
price of rice, everybody knows t-shirt cost money, party cost money,
finding volunteers cost transportation allowance, conference cost meal
fee?!

* We never asked to cut the above cost you mentioned, we only suggested
to cut the snacks (not lunch at all) that cost almost USD 6400 (which is
20% of the WHOLE shared budget), but you refused immediately without any
room for discussion, so it's really not very fair you said that in
Facebook anyway. 

Please let's work together as a team to solve problems and we really
look forward to a successful event!
