Thank you so much, it worked perfectly! I didn't realize the editor had to be opened in order to see the 'GtkSourceView Editor' menu. Looks beautiful now that I've shrunk the font size :).

Edit->Preferences, page "GtkSourceView Editor", page "Font", maybe
uncheck "Use them font" and choose whatever you like.
