You should choose the generic automake template and then copy src and
doc directory into the project tree. You will have to do some manual
adjustments in the doc directory as the documentation types aren't well
supported in the project-manager (and especially in the version shipping
with 2.32.x).

No, this is on our roadmap but it is a difficult task. For now you might
want to look at OpenSuSE Build service which can build debian and rpm
files for various distros.
