You need to have the gettext-devel package installed. If this is not
installed Anjuta will compile and run OK but you will get the above
errors when you try to create a new project.

Anjuta will not run if compiled in a 64-bit environment, a bug report
has been filed on this, lets hope it's sorted out when Anjuta 2 is
released.
