I'm very interested to know how this works as far as libraries go. I'm new to C++ and I've been learning in VC 6, but my goal is program for open source projects in Linux, and I'm having a tough time converting (maybe b/c I'm still pretty new). First, if I create a new project using gtk-- (gtkmm), I don't see the libraries show up as being included anywhere. So, I really don't know if it's using some of it's own libraries (like VC does) or if it's using my OS dev libs. If I create a new empty project, then add these libs in the include and library areas, I get all kinds of not found errors. It finds some, but doesn't find others. I think the main problem is I really know nothing about makefiles or compiling from the command line.
