I think we are not talking about the same thing here.

The colors are saved as are all the rest of the Anjuta settings :)

I would like Anjuta to preserve the filter settings (i.e. which buttons are down *by default* when a new 
MessageView is created).

I scanned through the message-view plugin source code now and I can't see that the MessageViewFlags are save 
or loaded everywhere, so I guess this is not implemented yet.

I have created a feature request now:

PS: The curious thing is that I thought this already worked with an older version of Anjuta. Maybe the 
MessageViews were reused in an earlier version, so the filters stuck "by accident"?
