Hi,
I have submitted a application for the anjuta project here http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/proposal/review/google/gsoc2011/yangqiangyq/1.

Johannes Schmid suggust me to contribute something (bug-fix, small feature, etc.) to anjuta. Hope you can give me some suggestions and bring me something(in a little details) to do.

Please get in touch with the anjuta developers (anjuta-devel-list gnome org). In addition, please try to contribute something (bug-fix, small feature, etc.) to anjuta so we can be sure you know how to work with Gtk+, git, etc.

From your project description you would rather want to integrate meld (http://meld.sourceforge.net/) which probably already has most of the features you need including the diff parser/viewer and is written in PyGtK.

BTW, there is a bug a about it: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435161

What I would be more interested in is not an additional UI to show the diff but some kind of inline diff feature in the editor using multiple colors and/or +/- signs.
