Hi Alex,

 Thank you for responding.  I checked my HAL (I presume my customer has the
same thing) to see what I have installed:

$ rpm -qa \*hal\*
m17n-contrib-sinhala-1.1.10-3.fc12.noarch
hal-devel-0.5.13-9.fc12.i686
m17n-db-sinhala-1.5.5-1.fc12.noarch
hal-info-20090716-3.fc12.noarch
hal-0.5.13-9.fc12.i686
hal-libs-0.5.13-9.fc12.i686

I looks like we have HAL installed.  Is there another HAL out there that I
need to install?

Christian should have updated to a version after we got preliminary DeviceKit support, it should work unless you have a Classic or Touch/iPhone model.
