  latests version are libxml2-2.6.11 and libxslt-1.1.8. Grab the 
corresponding src.rpm on ftp://xmlsoft.org/ , do rpm --rebuild ...src.rpm
and rpm -U the resulting i386.rpm files.

  I don't see why glibc should be a problem, after all those work
on systems with very limited libc support.
