What do you want to do with utf-8?
Frans, the libxml2 UTF-8 handling is fine for my purposes now (I use the
ASCII subset only), but I intend later to do a lot of unicode processing
internally and output unicode to an external stream (mainly for printing in
PostScript files).
I think the IBM ICU library looks like the one to use, but I've seen others
mentioned--just looking for advice from long-time unicode users.
