[xml] building source rpm fails on python bindings

Hi,
I'm trying to build the source rpm (libxml2-2.6.23-1.src.rpm) on RH 7.
It fails when working on Python bindings. The output is shown below:

This problem might originate form the fact that I have several versions
of Python installed on my system. There is Python 1.5.2 in
/usr/bin/python (that came with the system) and a new 2.4.2 binary
compiled from source located in /usr/local/bin/python. How could I make
it to use the newer version?
