RE: [xml] Link warning on xmlFree in Visual Studio link

Actually I searched the archive for this problem before submitting my
question. I saw similar questions but no solution.

I prefer not to turn off MSVC warnings because we have automated build
procedures that require 0 warnings.

I have the same issue, there was something on the list
earlier about this..

Search the archives. I believe the answer is to just ignore
it. VS, tends to be a bit "Preachy" about "errors".

I don't have any problems, and I get the same error (I am
using dynamic libraries).

Subject: [xml] Link warning on xmlFree in Visual Studio link

Hi,

I'm developing an application using a static lib libxml
(libxml2_a.lib) in Visual Studio 6.0. Everything goes fine
except for a warning that appears on every build:

LINK : warning LNK4049: locally defined symbol "_xmlFree" imported
(LNK4049: The symbol was both exported from and imported to
the program)

Any ideas how to eliminate it?

Thanks in advance
