        I've got the same problem here and I gonna investigate why.
Basically the problem is that the library is created as "libxml2"
instead of "libxml2.so.2.6.6" (and/or "libxml2.so.2").
        My guess is that there's some problem with libtool
or gcc (or maybe rpm, but I don't think so) shipped with RH71.
        ASAP I get the solution, I'll report here. If also you
get it, please don't remember to tell us! :)
