RE:[xml] need serious help with upgrading libxml2

Well it's a question that is often asked.

Try 

rpm --rebuild ......src-rpm

Removing libxml2 isn't a simple operation because you probably obtain "dependence failure".

The right way is to update your current version.

Well I don't know if you succeed in your operation: sometimes the rebuilding failures. In this case ask for 
help to Daniel.
