RE: [xml] separator ':' used in attribute value

Hi,

have a look at:
http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xml-names-19990114/
very few xml applications don't rely on namespaces.

Cheers,

Subject: [xml] separator ':' used in attribute value

High,

I'm a new user of libxml2. And i've got a little
problem :

when i try to parse, by means of xmlParseFile(), a
document including this element :

<pthcsock xmlns="jabber:config:pth-csock">

the node "pthcsock" is well recognized, however it has
no attribute. Is it because the value of the attribute
called "xmlns" contains several ':' characters ???

Initially, i wanted, from an original document, to
extract information to generate another document.
How can i parse my document to have a raw
representation (with unchanged information) ??

Thanks in advance.

Mehdi.
