[xml] xmlXPathRegisterVariableLookup()

Hi everyone,
I am trying to develop an app where I need to provide variables to XPath
expressions. For this purpose I found xmlXPathRegisterVariableLookup()
but the function provided is never called.
I checked that (xmlXPathContextPtr ctx) ctx->varLookupFunc and
ctx->varLookupData have actually been set.
I also checked that the XPath expression being evaluated actually
contains an XPath-Variable.
Any clues on what may be going on?
