Yes "violate" is a bit strong here ... But if TYPE_MENU has to
be interpreted as "Tearoff menus" it seems to me that the fact
that KDE use TYPE_MENU for the mac style menu bar is a problem.
Because at the present time a wm has to detect if a window
of type TYPE_MENU is from KDE or GNOME :o) Exactly the kind of
problems the ewmh spec try to solve ...
