We haven't done that in the past, nor have we really tracked gedit that closely. What's more, we have a potential problem with gedit 3.11/3.12 right now:
I would say that Valencia tracks Vala more closely than it does gedit. It *might* make sense for us to mirror Vala's version numbering. I'll consider that, but for now assume that 0.6 will be the next stable release.

Hey Jim,
Do you consider valencia's versions to target a gedit one? In which case in might make sense to update the versionning to match the gedit serie you target?
