I tried the sample using the GData-0.0.gir and it worked.
Is there a downside to using GData-0.0.gir rather than libgdata.vapi?
There's an ongoing transition to use the gir for generating libgdata.vapi.
Is that a recommendation to use the gir?
Temporarily.
I tried briefly to generate
a VAPI file, but I have not succeeded yet.
If you were able to use the gir, there's no way you didn't succeed in
generating the vapi :)
