[Vala] Where does monodevelop-vala hide C code?

Hi,

Does anyone know where monodevelop places the intermediate C code generated by valac?  While I don't intend 
to modify this code directly, for packaging reasons I will need access to this at some point.  It seems as 
though monodevelop-vala deletes the intermediate C files after generating the binary.  If this is so, does 
anyone know how to prevent this?
