Hi Arkadi,

as you can see from this part of the message:

vala-1.0 >= 0.5.7: not found

you haven't the libvala-dev package installed on your system.

Note that there's a bug in the configure script, even if it tests for
version 0.5.7 of the vala package the required vala version to run Vtg
is 0.7.6 (the last released)
