[Vala] GMainLoop usage?

It seems that---and I am just asking to make sure that I am not missing
anything obvious---complete support for using a GMainLoop isn't present
in Vala 0.5.7.  Specifically, it seems that functions like g_idle_add()
do not have a mapping (yet) in Vala.

Is this right, or am I missing something?
