[Vala] broken dbus example code?

Does the vala-tests/tests/examples/bluez-dbus-sample.vala file work for
anyone?
After editing line 13 to remove a space (as per the comment in line 12),
I get this error when running the successfully-compiled file:
[mjc xena examples]$ ./bluez-dbus-sample
** ERROR **: bluez-dbus-sample.vala:54: Failed to initialise
aborting...
