Hello,
I recently installed the components of project utopia and have been mostly
impressed with what I've seen. However, I have had a couple of problems,
mainly with udev:
Firstly, I've also been playing with the gnome bluetooth stuff. This sets
up a connection over bluetooth using a device called /dev/rfcomm0. udev
creates /dev/bluetooth/rfcomm/0 for the device, but it doesnt symlink it
to /dev/rfcomm0. In my syslog I get this:
Jun 24 18:14:26 yaffle hal.hotplug[2665]: waiting for tty info at
/class/tty/rfcomm0
Jun 24 18:14:26 yaffle hal.hotplug[2665]: Dont know how to wait for tty at
/class/tty/rfcomm0; sleeping 1000 ms
The bluetooth stuff doesnt work as a result of the symlink not existing.
If I create it manually it works fine.
Also, I've found that totem wont play DVDs any more. A symlink
/dev/cdroms/cdrom1 is created, but totem wants there to be a cdrom0. I
dont have a cdrom0; why has it named it cdrom1?
Lastly, I turned on "mount removable drives when hotplugged" but nothing
seems to happen when I plug in USB devices.
For the record, I'm using the standard packages from debian.
Simon
