HAL support in gnome-vfs 2.7.4 doesn't compile (see bug #148181 on bugzilla.gnome.org). gnome-vfs 2.7.4 comes with huge changes in the mime system, so I wouldn't expect it to work really well with a GNOME 2.6 environment. And Nautilus has issues with gnome-vfs CVS HEAD when HAL support is enabled :-/ Christophe
