Wouldn't it be enough to have configurable key bindings to change the desktop, open a new one, etc...? I would be greatly surprised if Gnome Shell didn't support this. I agree that Gnome Shell is obviously much more intrusive/disruptive than Gnome-Do for the latter's particular use case. Felipe
