[Usability] Status bar hbox spacing values

Hello,

Could some HIG expert take a look to gtk+ bug #594535? Specially the
comment 18 [1]:
A new HBOX was added to the status bar, and 4 has been chosen for the
hbox's spacing.
We'd like to know if 6 or 12 or 18 were better values.
