[Usability] Gnome screensaver background should use gconf user background?

Hey,

I just changed my gnome background (right click on desktop -> change
desktop background) and right after that locked my computer.
The background i set was visible just fine on my desktop how you would
expect it but the screensaver thing (after you pressed a key so the
dialog appears) was showing the system default background while i
would have expected the background i set.

My question is if this is intended behaviour or a bug?

If it's the behaviour then what's the reasoning behind that?

Some clearing up on this issue would be nice.
