I'd be curious about Vista's experience with it - Vista can do this,
can't it?
CDE (on Solaris, at least) could do this years ago, too... I dunno if
any of the people who worked on that are still here at Sun, but if
they are, I can try and find out the reasons that it was believed to
be a useful feature at the time. (Of course, what was thought to be
useful then mightn't be so useful now...)
