I'm wondering - what do the people on the list think about this? Do you
think Gedit should use Ctrl+PgUp/PgDn to switch tabs (and thus have to
find alternative shortcuts for moving to the beginning/end of a
paragraph), or should it stay as it is?
The reason I ask is that this seems to be a classic (potentially
archetypal) case of having to find a balance between the needs of
individual apps on the one hand, and the need for consistency in tab
implementation across the desktop on the other.
Personally, I would prefer the shortcuts for switching tabs to take
precedence, since I would imagine they will be used far more often (and
by more people) than shortcuts for moving to the beginning/end of a
paragraph.
