Sorry, my bad.
The patch is interesting. However as it seems also Banshee-1 has
problems (the only way to disable notification balloons is to disable
the minimizing to the system tray plugin entirely) I have been
considering deleting the whole libnotify library from the file system.
I can't quick think of any really useful popups that I would have seen
that would come from any applications that I use.
The only exception being perhaps my own hack to monitor hdd SMART
status, and make a popup when the disk reports that there will be
imminent disk failure soon. (Yes, I made such feature and it's really
baffling that no distribution ships with such by default.) Now THAT
would be important enough to notify the user about.

That sounds clearly better already. Requiring user attention only to
solve exception situation.
