The only real questions to resolve, the only meat
here, is:
- is it ok to have two columns of checkboxes?
Yes, perfectly acceptable from a HIG POV at least.
- does the addition of two bold headings make the
dialog clearer?
Potentially, but unfortunately there are issues with both of these
particular ones IMHO:
- I don't think "Cycling" is a particularly helpful term, but I can't
think of anything better either.
- The "Matching Options" header seems a bit redundant when both the
checkboxes start with "match" anyway, but again I can't think of
anything notably better. FWIW, we also generally try not to use the
word Options (or Settings, or any other synonyms than Properties or
Preferences).
If we can nail down these terminology issues (or nobody else cares),
I have no problem with the new design.
Cheeri,
Calum.
