That could be a good point... but I'm not sure what a
theme engine is. I've noticed these on GNOME art, but
there's no real explanation of what they do in the
FAQ.

This problem occurs when I install just GTK themes,
and presumably the theme engine they use is the
default.

An any rate, the behaviour appears incorrect to the
user, who just wants his chosen theme shown in all
windows. So it's correct code producing buggy
