Hello,
I wanted to take a second to chime in regarding this feature in general.
I think the current implementation is more than enough for the desktop
as a whole, meaning that adding more features to this or more options
seems a bit much. The reason is that the vast majority of users will
never, ever need to take a screenshot. Those that do need to take one or
take more involved screenshots are more than able to do so using
available tools.
My point here is that adding more to the "Take a Screenshot" dialog
doesn't seem like a very worthwhile change. It would be nice to have a
screenshot tool that makes it easy to take very complicated screenshots
and video/flash but to add that to the default desktop screenshot tool
seems like scratching an itch a select few have. With that said, if
someone has specific needs for screenshots and have not been able to
make the current system work properly, then it would be good to see a
spec or design of a good screenshot tool in hopes that someone might
build one.
Eric
