Hi,
Each time I open an application, the main application window is positioned at the left top corner of the desktop.
Some applications remember the window size but almost none of the can remember the position.
Since left part of the screen is where most of the desktop icons are
placed, I always drag the application window to the rigth part of the
screen, and having to do this always is quite annoying.
I believe the platform (either GTK or GNOME) should remember the last
position of the main window and (unless the application specifies a
specific positon) restores the last positon and size of the window...
On Windows, several applications (notepad, wordpad, etc.) behave this
way, but I don't know at which level (application itself or platform)
this feature is supported..
