Now, I've found it at /usr/share/doc/gtk+-2.4.9-r1/README.gz NoBackup/
on my Gentoo system. (using locate *gtk*README*)
Well, then I have to start read the READMEs for GTK then.

Okay, I had Gtk 2.5.9, but I'm upgrading now to 2.6.4.
