Well, I think that the main difference between window management in a
PIM and window management in a web browser is that you only read one
webpage at a time (which is why it's better to use tabs to show one page
and hide all other pages) while you might need to have your calendar,
your contacts and your emails visible at the same time for a PIM. So, I
really think that, even if it had to be managed by the window manager,
it shouldn't be managed in the same way.
