No, I was suggesting Shift-Alt-[arrow or doubleclick] whenever you
wanted to close the window behind you. Which is a little non-orthogonal
in that Alt-doubleclick isn't required to open a folder, whereas
Alt-arrow is, but that still sounds less important to me than stealing
what are probably about the most frequently used metacity shortcuts.
If it turned out that Shift-Alt was too cumbersome a shortcut to be used
regularly, then our whole default interaction model is probably broken
somewhere, because you shouldn't have to use keyboard modifiers
regularly :) (Or indeed at all, there should be a menu-driven
equivalent somewhere).
Anyway, I'm mellowing since I last replied to the bug report, I guess I
could live with metacity switching from Ctrl-Alt-arrow to
Shift-Alt-arrow for 'switch desktop' and losing its default 'move window
to adjacent workspace' shortcuts, if need be.
Cheeri,
Calum.
