I'm wondering if I was to "show searchbar" when using the file-dialog, 
would it be shown next time I use the dialog?  I think that it should be.

Not sure that I like the method for finding "home" "documents" and other 
locations.  As it is implemented here it takes two clicks to get to any 
of these locations.  Would it not be better to use icons for home, 
documents and desktop and then the list for other commonly accessed 
locations?

I also think that there is a great need for this.

Oh, and if your looking for help with this, it might be an idea to post 
on the desktop-devel-list, desktop-devl-list gnome org   Myabe someone 
there can help, I think there has been a bit of discusion there with 
regards to an API, although it may well have been in conjuction with the 
work you have already done.

Great work.  I really hope that this can become part of the Gnome 2.2 
release.  Almost any new file choosers will be better than what we have 
currently, I even like the Java file-chooser better.
