Revert is as much a tool to facilitate experimentation in a GUI (usually
a good thing) as it is to dig you out a hole, however. Particularly in
dialogs that let you change the physical appearance of things, it's
always good to be able to quickly get back to where you started to try
other alternatives-- not because you necessarily "screwed up", but just
because it provides a common starting point on which to base your
experimentation.
