Are you sure? I know this used to be the case, but I'm pretty sure I
wasn't subscribed to the preview channel when I was updated to the new
control center. I had to subscribe later, to get control-center-plus.

It's too bad there isn't a way in Red-Carpet to say "remove this newer
version of this package that's installed from this channel, and replace
it with this older version from this other channel." (AFAICT.)

If it's only the preview channel we're talking about, sure. But I don't
think it should have gone into the stable branch (at least, without
control-center-plus also going in there so functionality wouldn't be lost
-- not just stuff like palm support, stuff like MIME types).
