Re: [Tracker] Tracker presentation at NLGG

Hello,

The main feedback from the people at The Netherlands user group was that
tracker-needle looks more like a demo-ui than a fully usable user
interface.

Of course is a Linux user-group staffed not only by developers but also
users. So the "how do I use it, then?" question was a bit expected.

Kind regards,

Philip

Hello,

I should have announced this earlier, but I was damn busy with work &
co* at my customer Heidenhain. Mostly writing QAbstractItemModel models;
something we apparently all end up doing one way or another eventually.

After FOSDEM this year, I apparently bragged too much about Tracker or
something. Because a few days later, the people at NLGG (Linux User
Group in the Netherlands) invited me talk at their event:

That's tomorrow, so this mail is too late for most people. Apologizes.

I should really start leaving these talks and presentations to people
like Carlos, as I admittedly I should contribute more to Tracker.

OTOH Tracker seems to work just fine. Plenty of ideas, but without
Nokia-like funding I'm afraid we're a bit stuck.

* At the same time getting my car to a garage this week, while having to
commute to Eindhoven daily. My car, Merkel, is now ~six or seven years
old and she needs maintenance on her motor after serving me about 230000
kilometers. Because I was so busy, I forgot writing this E-mail. Also is
my little brother becoming self employed. I thought I would have been
busy with this but he found himself a customer all by himself.

Kind regards,

Philip
