Hi,
Hi,
There has been lots of bugs reported by people complaining their logs
filled by tracker warnings and errors.
Bug #735406 which is resolved was supposed to limit such logs, but
even after then there has been bugs reported #784045 #730083 #747198
Even my log is filled with quite a large number of warnings.
Should we restrict logs further? What should be the log messages we
should display to a normal user? Perhaps displaying only error
messages.
It was my understanding that the logs were *MAINLY* errors that people
are reporting due to broken ontology.
A interesting comment by adam
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=730083#c3 as a perspective
of normal user.
If we can discuss and arrive at some conclusion on a log level, I am
ready to write and commit patches for same.
Thanks. We should only be reporting errors by default anyway.
We don't have a verbosity level for warnings. But we could add one :)
