It would be really handy for me if there was a configuration option for Tracker that let you change the Tracker database location for a particular folder or mount point (ie, all normal folders were indexed in the normal place, but all documents in /mount/shared were tagged/indexed in /mount/shared/.Tracker). No. If the PDF stores a scanned image of some text, we can't extract
that. IT's also quite uncommon.

Thanks. That's interesting, as it is actually something that I come across a lot. I've always scanned anything multi-page as PDFs (TIFs are quite hard to work with) and so do all of my clients. Also, our electronic fax system converts all incoming faxes to PDFs (with each page a simple JPG scan of the page).
