it seems (based on the CPU usage and the output of

Is there a way that I can confirm this (log-files)?
It will re-crawl to set up monitors, but reindexing no. It may
continue where it left off if you didn't shutdown when it was
idle.
OK - one additional question: I have seen somewhere, that the
number of monitors is limited by a setting for the file system,
but that it can be increased, but I do not remember where I have
seen it - do you probably know how this can be done? (FS: ext4)
Go root and give the new number, like: # echo 524288 >
/proc/sys/fs/inotify/max_user_watches
Although this number may already be increased if you installed
Tracker through a packaging system. The Tracker Team PPA in Ubuntu
already does this:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~tracker-team/tracker/tracker.head/view/head:/debian/30-tracker.conf
thanks
- - I just executed the command you gave me. I googled and found,
among others, a way to make this persistant between reboots, by executing
echo âfs.inotify.max_user_watches = 524288â >> /etc/sysctl.conf
as root.
