I am using latest version(tracker-0.9.36).
My external HDD(not usb stick) is not indexed.
I tested two usb hdds( one is formatted to NTFS and the other is
formatted to ext3)
I think tracker cannot recognize external usb hdd as a removable
media.
But, usb stick has no problem(vfat).
In tracker-storage.c, mount_add() function is called when new external
usb hdd is attached.
In mount_add(), g_drive_is_media_removable() is used to get
information that
This function returns FALSE (that means external usb hdd is not
removable media) and tracker does not proceed to index my usb hdd.
Does my desktop environment have some problem or this symptom is
common?
See https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=640845 as it may be
exactly your issue. Seems g_drive_is_media_removable() doesn't mean what
we assumed it would mean.
