You can change this by editing the:
./src/miners/fs/tracker-miner-files.c +1570
In particular EXTRACTOR_DBUS_TIMEOUT which is set to 60 seconds at the
moment. We should probably make that an environment variable for testing
and general playing about with.
Yes I will be submitting code when it is ready. The first would be for
JPG which is just a patch to correctly index metadata tagged on M$
Windows. When I get a moment I will send that one as it is reliable.
Great! :)
I would recommend you update to 0.9 to see how the patch applies against
the latest and greatest. Additionally, we have a command to test this
end-to-end more easily:
tracker-control -f <file-to-reindex>
There is this internally used API (used only by the text extractor)
which might be useful to you:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/tracker/tree/src/tracker-extract/tracker-read.h
If it is, we can push it into libtracker-extract.
Any problems, let us know, I'm sure we can help :)
