Hi,
i am thinking to directly access tracker's database to add appl.
specific data, like music playing state, (for data that doesn't have
associated ontology mapping) along with tracker's audio/medialist
metadata . But i am not sure about tracker handling on file changes,
does tracker overwrite/delete appl. stored data or how flexible to
use directly tracker's database?
Don't do that :) Add new ontologies if you want new classes/properties
(although playing state doesn't really belong to tracker, it would
better be in an application specific database/memory structure). If you
directly access Tracker's database, bad things will happen, and kittens
will die. I hope that's enough to discourage you ;)

Jackson
