Re: [Tracker] Does tracker support uniquie object-id across databases

You would have to use an unreleased Tracker version, from git.
tracker:id
will probably make it in next 0.9 version.

there's some solution.. do we able to internally customize the
unique
tag/object-id for each metadata stored in database.. and if it is
possible, then what are the modules i need to customize to suit in
our
environment..

We recently added the tracker:id() function for this purpose. It's not
part of any RDF or SPARQL spec and completely custom / specialized for
Tracker use. So if you do use this, your queries aren't compatible
with
any other SPARQL or RDF product.

It's so new that we have not documented it yet, it's also not
available
in any release yet (afaik).

Philip

Hi,

does tracker support assigning unique object-id for each piece of
metadata across databases.
For e.g. if id: 123 is assigned to Artist: "Enrique" then this ID
should
not be present in other tables/databases that tracker is
maintaining.
This will be helpful features by bookmarking through object-Id.

Regards,
Remo

Tracker does use uuid to generate urns if I'm right, so they should
be
more
or less unique across databases... Needs confirmation though.
