TST will have all those features by 0.8 release (I hope) - not sure
about option 4 though
the list/icon views are likely to be category specific as follows:
i plan for say music/image category to show a grid with sortable columns
for artist, track name, duration etc
Whilst for documents we will show a list view with snippets
For all others we will just show an icon view as snippets or grids are
not appropriate for them
You have < 10 days I should add. We want to try to release before the
end of the month.
yikes - i thought 0.8 would take another month or so whilost onto was
being sorted out
*ahum*, working hard on this. Martyn is slave driving me too :)
Checkout the branch ontology-cope, the code is actually written. What
remains is a unit test and some serious, damn f. serious testing.
As it's quite complicated stuff, again.
To test btw:
tracker-store
ctrl+c tracker-store
change the ontology
tracker-store
insert some things that use the new ontology
delete some things that used the new ontology
ctrl+c tracker-store
change the ontology
tracker-store
insert some thing that use the new ontology
delete some things that used the new ontology
ctrl+c tracker-store
etc
Now
cd $HOME/.cache/tracker
rm meta.db
tracker-store
Your entire database should still be correct ;-)
(not saying it works, just saying I coded the theory in 'ontology-cope')
At least give me the easter holidays 2-5th April
Cheers,
Philip
